Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence – next level of Automation

Intel Talk Overview

The trends towards digitalization and artificial intelligence (AI) will create a paradigm shift in production in many industries. Besides the ability to implement predictive maintenance concepts based on digitalization and AI, these two topics will lead in general to more flexibility in production, higher yields as well as new digital field components, which adapt parameters on its own, if deviations are observed from the original parameter setting within a production. The latter example is a first step to autonomous systems for dedicated tasks in a production.

In addition a clear trend towards modular production plants can be seen in the market and standardization of automation concepts are actually developed by integrated working groups. The participation of relevant market players, means global acting suppliers, OEMs and end users ensure, that defined solutions have a high applicability to solve future requirements like higher flexibility in production, increased energy savings and predictive maintenance. The speech discusses these global trends and show the utilization, implementation and (monetary) benefits based on industrial use cases.
