Vivian Krause
Researcher & Writer
Vivian Krause is a researcher and writer based in Vancouver.
Over many years, she has traced the funding of environmental and elections activism. Her most recent project is a documentary film called Over a Barrel.
Vivian has a unique background, with a graduate degree in science from the Université de Montréal and a decade of experience with the United Nations in Guatemala and Indonesia.
Vivian has testified to parliamentary committees of the House of Commons and the Senate. Her work has prompted investigations by Elections Canada, the Canada Revenue Agency, and a public inquiry by the Alberta government.

Nannette Ho-Covernton

Nannette Ho-Covernton is a practicing professional engineer with Spartan Controls and has over thirty years working in industry. After graduating as a chemical engineer from the Schulich School of Engineering in 1987, she spent eight years in the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) community as a project engineer. In 1995, she joined Spartan Controls - a Canadian, employee-owned industrial automation company serving the process industries in Western Canada. Over more than 25 years, Nannette has progressed her career from inside sales to managing customer accounts. In her current role, she also acts as a liaison for academic and community investments and leads collaborative initiatives with Canada's Oil Sands Innovation Alliance and the Clean Resource Innovation Network. Nannette is an active member of Schulich's Engineering Career Centre Advisory Council. In 2013, she was awarded Spartan's President's Award and was named an Engineers Canada Fellow for her dedication to APEGA for more than 10 years. In 2019, Nannette was awarded the Schulich Diversity and Equity Alumni Award for her commitment to supporting emerging leaders in their career progression.
Nicola Lewin

Senior Manager, Plants Engineering
Nicola Lewin is a Professional Engineer and a graduate of the University of Alberta’s Master of Science Civil and Environmental Engineering program with honors. She is currently Senior Manager, Plants Engineering at the Gold Bar Wastewater Treatment Plant at EPCOR. She has worked at EPCOR for 19 years managing various projects, and operational and engineering teams at the water and wastewater treatment plants. Nicola is a founding member and co-chair of HerStory, an EPCOR committee formed to help empower and enable women to make informed decisions about their professional and personal growth. She is also an active member of EPCOR’s Diversity & Inclusion Council and serves as the Co-Chair of the Western Canada Water, Membership Engagement and Development Committee.
